Synopsis:
The film is about a dreamy girl who belongs to a middle class family. She is dominated by her father who is characterized by severe authority , goodness and tenderness, by conservatism and liberalism. The family lives in a heterogeneous quarter with contradictions among its inhabitants who belong to various groups. Its buildings are also varied , some are old and cozy , and its internal warmth is closed to the outside, and some are modern and built of cement. They are high but deaf. This is a society which individuals suffer various forms of deprivation and pressures that generate different reactions. Some revolt against social values and some succumb to them. All of this is negatively on their lives. We see contradictory reactions from the quarter and the family when the heroine, Jamila, disappears . We see different stages of her life and that ends with the day she disappears during the Israeli aggression against Lebanon.
