Synopsis:
The film deals with one side of the Palestinian people tragedy, reflected through three characters: Hamed, Mariam and Zakariya. Hamed is the dreamy young man who is shocked by his sister, Mariam, having an affair with Zakariya, the mean man collaborating with the occupying authorities. Hamed leaves his town, Gaza, to the West Bank across the desert, to join his mother who was living there since 1948 . On his way to the West Bank , he meets a straying Israeli soldier , and by this meeting his life takes a new turn. This film mixes the documentary with metaphorical, holding the events of the past as a mirror of the present time, and connecting the small family problems with human and national causes.
