Born in Damascus in 1937. Graduate of Cinema Institute of Cairo in 1964. He realized a number of documentary films about Syrian archaeological sites such as the Omayad Mosque, Palmyra , Mari, Syrian citadels and others. He realized two feature films for General Cinema Organization : (The Red, the White and the Black),1976 and (Love of Life) 1981. He directed one of the films of the trilogy (Shame) in 1974, the other two by Bilal Al-Sabouni and Wadi’ Yousif. He realized some films for the private sector such as: (Men’s Hunt),1976, (The Clown’s Love Affair) 1976, and (Ghawwar Empire) 1982. He died in 2002.
